American DG Energy specializes in Tecogen brand cogeneration and TECOCHILL engine-driven chillers, in selected territories. Since first introduced in 1983, almost 2,000 Tecogen natural gas fueled cogeneration and cooling units have delivered over 30 million hours of reliable service at hundreds of customer sites across the US and abroad. Overall energy efficiencies of these systems typically exceed 80 to 90 percent, and due to their advanced microprocessor controls and long-life exhaust catalysts, emissions are well below even the strictest environmental standards.
The Tecogen cogeneration systems are pre-packaged, compact 75 KW units (typically a 100 + room facility) and produce electricity and thermal energy (heat and hot water) of 490,000 btu/hr. For larger buildings, we deploy multiple systems to maximize energy savings, reliability and efficiency.
The TECOCHILL engine-driven chiller systems range from 25 to 400 tons of cooling plus offer the additional thermal energy (hot water). Applications range from commercial building rooftops (25 to 65 tons) to hospitals (400 tons).
